About the customer

The company is a leading quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand with hundreds of locations across the United States. Operating through a mix of corporate-owned and franchised restaurants, it relies on a steady flow of product, menu, and marketing content to support its restaurant network and digital channels.

Technologies involved

Orange Logic DAM

Enterprise-grade DAM implemented as the central platform for marketing and product assets

Background

The company had no digital asset management system in place. Content was scattered across disconnected systems and repositories, with no central location for teams to access, manage, or distribute assets.

With a lean internal team, the company needed a more streamlined and self-sufficient way to manage growing content operations.

No Central Asset Repository

Digital content was fragmented across systems with no single source of truth for teams to find and access current assets.

Manual Agency Retrieval

Photography was stored in an external agency system with limited access and a cumbersome search experience, making asset retrieval time-consuming and inconsistent.

Operational Content Delays

Producing and updating menu boards, digital ordering content, and marketing collateral was slow and resource-intensive.

Limited Internal Capacity

A lean team had little bandwidth to manage growing content operations through manual processes.

"We'd outgrown our old system years before we admitted it. People had built their own workarounds just to get through the day, which told us the platform wasn't serving anyone anymore. When we evaluated Orange Logic, what stood out was that it could actually handle the complexity of six business units without forcing us into one rigid structure. That flexibility, without giving up governance, is what made the decision easy."

Objectives

Establish a single source of truth

Centralize digital assets and eliminate reliance on disconnected systems and manual retrieval.

Streamline agency collaboration

Enable third-party photographers to upload content directly into the DAM.

Support core business operations

Give marketing and operations teams ready access to assets for menu boards, digital ordering, and marketing collateral.

Build for scale

Establish an enterprise-grade platform capable of supporting more users, content types, and workflows as the business evolves.

Our Approach

Structure & Configure

We worked closely with the QSR brand to configure Orange Logic around its operational needs, establishing the right platform structure, metadata framework, and role-based permissions from the outset.

Centralize & Connect

Active assets were brought into the new environment, while external photographers and creative agencies were given appropriate platform access to support a more direct content intake and collaboration process.

Personalize & Enable

We created a branded homepage experience within Orange Logic to make frequently used content easier to access and supported the team with comprehensive onboarding and training to enable independent platform management.

What Set This Project Apart

Rather than starting with a lightweight DAM and replacing it as requirements grew, El Pollo Loco chose to build an enterprise-grade content foundation from the outset.

The platform was designed not only around immediate needs but also to support more users, content, and workflows as the organization evolves.

Results

With Orange Logic as its first enterprise DAM, this restaurant chain now has a centralized, scalable foundation for managing and distributing content across internal teams and external partners.

"Avyre didn't just help us pick a platform, they helped us figure out what we actually needed before we ever looked at vendors. That discovery work saved us from making the same mistake twice. Now our teams can find what they need in seconds instead of emailing someone and waiting. We couldn't have gotten this far without them."
